Due to PAS' requirement that we cover all the course content by the end of March, we are unfortunately going to have to analyze a large amount of material in the next seven weeks.
Below are the chapter outline due dates. All outlines are due on Tuesdays before class.
Because it is imperative that you keep up with the reading at this pace, outlines lose will 10% if late, get zero after three days. You will also have quizzes and/or tests on all of the chapters. Additional readings for our two upcoming Socratic Seminars will also be assigned. So, it would be a good idea to get ahead on your reading as much as possible and to take advantage of the CNY break.
–Tues Feb 10: Political Geography (ch. 8)
–Tues Feb 17: Development (ch. 9)
–Wed Feb 25: Food and Agriculture (ch. 10)
–Tues March 3: Industry and Manufacturing (ch. 11)
–Tues March 10: Services and Settlements (ch. 12)
–Tues March 17: Urban Patterns
–Week of March 23-26: Q3 Exam
–April: Barron’s Review
